His discoveries have included untapped market segments, unmet product and service needs, and “white space” left undefended by competitors. Sam’s work has generated six-digit incremental revenue, has resulted in more differentiated positioning against competitors, and has helped major corporations successfully enter new market spaces with more relevant product and service offers. Sam’s history includes time spent at advertising agencies, marketing consulting firms, and Fortune 500 corporations.
Before joining Alterra Group, Sam was in charge of market research & competitive analysis for the largest division of Avery Dennison, a $6 billion dollar services and manufacturing company. Sam also previously worked as an Associate Consultant at The Bloom Group, creating thought leadership marketing for a wide range of clients.
Sam has an undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University.
